Local residents, students, and forest personnel participate in these activities to maintain clean and healthy surroundings while creating awareness about the harmful effects of littering and plastic pollution.

Plantation Drive

Tree plantation programmes are conducted in schools, colleges, public institutions, and forest areas across the division. Students, teachers, government officials, and community members actively participate in planting indigenous tree species. These drives contribute to increasing green cover, improving ecological balance, and combating climate change.

Distribution of Jute Bags

To reduce the use of single-use plastics, the division organizes jute bag distribution programmes in Mahagama, Godda, Sundarpahari, and surrounding areas. The initiative promotes eco-friendly alternatives and encourages people to adopt sustainable lifestyles while reducing environmental pollution.

Environmental Awareness Programmes

The division regularly conducts workshops, seminars, nature camps, and awareness programmes in schools, colleges, and villages. These programmes focus on topics such as wildlife conservation, biodiversity protection, forest fire prevention, water conservation, and sustainable resource management.
